This newspaper article from Feb 11 1968 discusses the remaining houses once owned by Boston Napoleon Bonapart Boyd in the downtown neighborhood. Boyd once owned 23 of the 210 houses in the redevelopment zone, all of which were painted the same shade of green. Boyd was once a slave and published two books, one of which is titled Revised Search Light on the Seventh Day, Bible and X-Ray. This newspaper was saved by Lillian and Freddie Outterbridge.
